I'm doing my son's wedding cake. The bride to be wants a 3tier heart shaped cake. I thought it would look pretty on a round or octagon shaped mirror. And then maybe put some scroll work on the mirror with the icing to match the cake.

I looked at home depot and lowes....

Where do you find those mirrors? And cheap!

I would try a craft store - but mirrors can be expensive

check dollar stores too.....sometimes you can find round ones in cheap frames and you can just pop off the frame! Wal mart might have some framed ones too.....otherwise check out a glass shop.....depending on where you go it might not be that expensive to have one made.......but definitely try the discount/dollar stores first!

I was just at hobby lobby and they had theirs 40% off so you might want to check there this week. I think the sale ends on the 15th.

I HAVE MY MADE AT A GLASS SHOP HERE IN TOWN.....MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE BUT THEY CUT THE SIZE , THICKNESS AND SHAPE I NEED.....BE CAREFUL TO HAVE THE MIRROR THICK ENOUGH..... MINE ARE USUALLY ABOUT AN 1/8" THICK. MAKE TRANSPORTING AND HANDLING EASIER AND SAFER.....

I KEEP MINE IN SLEEVES MADE FROM 2 FULL SHEET BOARDS TAPED TOGETHER....

THEY MAKE FOR A LOVELY PRESENTATION. DON'T THEY.........
