So I am following this recipe which calls for taking 1 cup of sliced almonds and grinding them down in a food processor to get ground almonds.

I already have plenty of ground almonds in my pantry and was wondering how much ground almonds I would use already.

I know 1 cup of sliced will not equal to 1 cup of ground and I know it will be less.

Just how much?
