Ok.

I'm so confused right now. When you guys are posting prices on your cookies are you talking about DECORATED cookies?

I read somewhere here that you can ask for $1.00 per inch? is that about right?

Because I just made some cookies that are from 3" to 6.25 inches and I was wondering if they could sell from $3.00 for the heart shape to $6.25 for the bigger cookie.

I was going to put them on my web site. There are a lot web cookie sites out there with shaped and decorated cookies that are Sooo expensive.

I'm not talking aobut cookies like Oatmeal or chocolate chips but the decorated cookies...

They are talking about iced, decorated cookies. : )

For example, look at my scooby doo cookies and spongebob cookies in my photos.

Pricing your cookies would depend on the size of the cookie and the amount of detail in the decoration. : ) The more detail the higher the $!

I wouldn't do those spongebob cookies for less than $5 each. They were a little smaller than the size of my hand but not by much and they took for ever!

: )

I've looked at sites, like Cookies By Design and a couple others and the prices are like WOW!!!! But cookies are very time consuming. I've only started making them and do them for fun for the family. What icing recipe were you looking for? I've used both MMF and Antonias Royal Icing. I REALLY like using her royal. Very easy to use and yummy too!

I covered them in MMF and aribrushed them, but I plan to pipe details with a glaze that dries to the touch but won't dry super hard.

The cookies are anatomically correct, but there is no cookie forum in the Naughty forum..lol

Many people, including me, use Antonia74's icing recipe

http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-1983-0-Royal-Icing-for-Decorated-Cookies.html

This is a royal icing that does not dry super-hard. It's wonderful especially if you "tamper" with the flavoring to make it exactly what you want.

As for charging (if you still had a question about that), I charge a dollar per inch and 50 cents xtra if they are bagged and tagged thumbs_up.gif

lol, that's what I decided to do too...$1.00 per inch is the going rate that I've been reading...

bagged tagged and boxed!

I mean..I'm no Neiman Marcus...where they can get 30 dollars for 6 cookies..but we ARE down the road from them....lol

I'm trying to get the cookies on the website, and since cookies are not my main product I want to price them so they make me money when I do them but not too high that nobody orders them.

I think your prices are definitely in the market range for Miami.

As for a cookie, I'll take Mr. Johnson hahaha tapedshut.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif LOL
