Has anyone heard of a Rubel cake? I have a customer that has asked for a Rubel cake. I believe it is of German/Russian descent. If anyone has heard of this or knows of anything that is close to this (I may be spelling it wrong, I'm not sure), but please let me know.

Thank you!

Rubel or roubel (old Russian currency).

However, I couldn't find any cake/s using that. icon_sad.gif

Did find a recipe for a Russian poppy seed roll:
(Roulet S Makom)

I couldn't find a recipe, but I found a description of sorts...

Raspberry Ruble - vanilla cake filled with raspberry preserves and frosted in a sweet raspberry butter cream icing. Decorated with smooth sides, soft ridges on top and three pink roses in the center. Bordered in vanilla butter cream.

I hope this helps. If I come across a real recipe, I'll be sure to post it.

Good luck!
