Marzipan Help

I bought some Marzipan to try out...anyone worked with this much before? Is is similar to working with Fondant? Can I make flowers, ect... days in advanced with this also? Thanks for you help! usaribbon.gif

First of all you can make your decoration in advance, but it will get dry in the air , but when you cover it with a plastic wrap (sorry I really don´t now what it is in english) it will keep fresh for a while.

You can do the same things with it, as you do with fondant, but it wan´t be that delicate, because of its structure. Also as Marzipan is a little yellow, you wan´t get the clear colors as with fondant (light blue will be difficult, as the blue and the light yellow, from the marzipan, will become: green).

But one thing is easier: it wan´t dry out as quick as fondant, so you can remodel and try again. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks! I want to practice making different flowers...I don't know if I'll use them on the cake for Saturday...but it will be fun to practice.
