I had a request for a cookie cake from a customer this morning and said I would do it. I am making my chocolate chip cookie dough and baking it in an aluminum pizza pan. I am instructed to decorate with a horse which is no issue. I use the letter press to make my lettering since my handwriting is horrible so could I press it into the cookie while it is warm to imprint it? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Also what do you charge for something like it?

I use my 12", 14" and 16" round baking pans to make my cookie cakes, The 12" takes one batch the 14 1 1/2 batch and 2 batches for the 16. They come out thicker than the Mrs. Fields and everyone loves them. I bake for about 20-25 min on 350 for the 2 larger ones. 15-20 on the small one. I charge 14.50 for the small 17.50 for the med and 22.00 for the large. Peanut butter sells good and so does the chocolate, this is cheating I know but I use brownie mix for the chocolate and they love it. Also I do a sugar cookie. I mix frostings around with them too, like PB on the brownie and Choc on the PB cookie. Possibilities are ENDLESS.............Oh I never have tried to empress a letter so I'll have to BUMP that part to someone else. Have fun........... Oh another thing call around and get prices as if you were wanting to order a cookie cake, they are cheaper than mine at Sams club and the grocery store but the quality of these are ten times better, try it. People love the thickness cause the cookie stays softer longer. Just flip it out on a board then back to one that it will stay on face up. I know I'm going on here but another thing that helps is the pan release I make myself. It's 1 cup oil, 1 cup crisco and 1 cup flour, Mix together and beat for about 5 min with mixer and use it for cakes and stuff. GREAT STUFF...................................

I do alot of cookie cakes, I put a parchment liner in the bottom of my pans, so the cookie comes right out. Sometimes I ice the entire top of the cookie, just like a cake, if the icing is thick enough you can use your imprinter. They are fun to make and I do all types of cookies. I always put enough dough in to make a nice thick cookie, I have even done 2 layer cookies and put a filling in between and iced the whole thing.

You can get alphabet candy molds and use CendyMelts for the letters if you want. You can do it ahead of time, which is always a plus!
