The past few times I've bought Kroger Large Eggs, they've seemed too big for "large" eggs, inside and out. I've had a few problems with mu usual recipes lately too ... I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this or am I being too picky?

I might contact them about it though, perhaps compare to a branded carton of eggs?

I have chickens and although usually they lay pretty consistently as far as egg sizes
sometimes they go all nuts and lay either really small eggs or really large eggs

its quite possible that whoever supplies them with their eggs could have changed the feed they give the chickens and its causing bigger eggs.
Or they might have had a large loss of the chickens that lay 'large' eggs ( usually leghorns) and so are supplying 'super' eggs for the large figuring that most ppl wont complain if the eggs are bigger.
