Hi cake4you,
I did my daughter's Hello Kitty cake in May. Unfortuantely, I can't post the picture - I don't have a scanner, but I'll tell you how I did mine. I am not too fond of character cake pans because I only bake for my family so I really don't have the need for them. What I did was a 3 tier torted cake, 6", 8", and 10". I got the idea from the Strawberry Shortcake 3 tier cake that appears in the 2004 or 2005 yearbook (I think its 2005). That cake is made all out of fondant, even the vertical stripes, dots, and strawberries that are on each of the 3 cakes. On top is a Strawberry Shortcake candle. I did the vertical stripes, dots, and instead of strawberries, I did hearts on each cake. I don't do fondant so I frosted the cake with buttercream and did all the details freehand with buttercream also using the colors of the papergoods/tablecloth (lime green, orange and pink). On top I purchased the Hello Kitty decorations kit that they sell at Supermarket bakeries and put it on top. I hope this helps you out.

Good luck, Naty

I forgot to tell you, Wilton does not make Hello Kitty cake pans, even in the 2006 I did not see any; that is why I had to rely on the Strawberry Shortcake idea to make the Hello Kitty cake. I'm sure after you do your cake, then Wilton will probably decide on creating a Hello Kitty cake pan, you know when you don't need one anymore.

I did this hello kitty cake for a party. It was made about 45 minutes before the party, very rushed. Just an idea

I believe I have a Hello Kitty Cake pan if anyone is interested in it! I have to double check but I'm pretty sure I do.
