Satin Ribbon, Keeping The Ends Together?

I am doing a wedding cake w/ satin ribbon border is there anything else other than icing to keep the ends together?

You could use double sided tape...that way it won't touch the cake.

Glue dots are great. They are in the scrapbooking section.
