I haven't used it in a yellow cake but I don't see why it wouldn't be just fine. I use it in french vanilla all the time.

Not really sure what you question is. But I just read that someone replaced the water in the cake recipe with a flavored coffee creamer and they loved the results!

Well, I think I will give it a try. I'm just wondering if the taste of chai will come through. I've only seen where people have used in in white cake. thanks for replying. I think I just needed a second opinion. I would have to have to bake two cakes

I think yellow cake is pretty bland anyway. I always read about people adding flavoring. So I think the flavor of the creamer should come through. It's not a butter flavored mix is it?

I just used pepperment mocha in a yellow cake, there was just a hint of mint. I made it into cake balls and used more peppermint mocha to hold the crumbs together....yummy!!! :p

I used Pumpkin Spice coffemate in a yellow cake mix this weekend and it came out great. The mix called for 1 1/4 cups water and I subsistuted the coffemate for the 1/4 cup of water. It wasn't too overpowering, just enough to enjoy.

I used Vanilla Carmel in a yellow cake a couple of weeks ago. It gives the yellow cake a nice depth of flavor, without it being in your face. I liked it because it did change the basic yellow flavor but was subtle.

well, the verdict is....the taste is YUMMO!!! it was powdered coffeemate that is used 2 1/2 TBLS. but holy cow was it moist and crumbly...if you have to do any cutting AT ALL don't use this combination. icon_wink.gif
