Ok, I want to see everyones most challenging Halloween cake. icon_eek.gif

This is mine... I was inspired by the food network challenge.. The base is a 9x13 on a 12x18 and the house is actually 2 back to back + 6" square to make it tall. EVERYTHING is edible and hand made by me, including the tree.. the steps are cocoa krispies. icon_biggrin.gif It was for a prestigeous realtor's party and was not even eaten. icon_cry.gif It ended up on display in her office.

Great job on yours. Looks like a ton of work.

I don't know how to attach a picture in the response (I am PC challenged) but my halloween cake is in my pics. It was the first time I entered a contest on here and won 4th place. It was a fun cake with a variety of techniques. I used buttercream, fondant, and gumpaste.

This wasn't a challenge but it sure was a lot of fun to make. I do these every year for Halloween and there is always a market for it.

I made this one last year. It was only the second cake I'd ever made, so I had no idea what I was doing! I hope to make a much better one this year.

What completely great cakes! Thanks for sharing them for us to enjoy.

Mine's not all made by me - the monsters were marshmallows bought at the store, but it was all edible.

I rarely do Halloween Cakes, but I have a client for whose daughter I have done a couple of Halloween birthday cakes. Both were great fun, though not particularly challenging. I hope they are not too primitive for your request icon_smile.gif

here is a link to my daughters birthday cake. I can post because she is in it. It was fun birthday. She had a Halloween party that year.

Ghosts are white chocolate, spiders are plastic, and fence is made out of gumpaste and I had cut in fence piece.

Thanks gscout73! I think the pumpkin only stayed on with luck! It had a couple of dowels in it. I wasn't very good at sizing back then -- I didn't account for the fact that it would "grow" after adding icing and fondant.
