I'm not in the PA area, so I can't help you with specifics, but many people start with Wilton method classes. AC Moore is one chain of craft stores that has classes. They have a store locator here: http://www.acmoore.com/locator.asp

Michael's Crafts also has the Wilton courses.

Another possibility is a local community college or occupational center.

Hobby Lobby chains, and also Joann's sometimes have the classes, as well.. Just to give you more choices.

Wilton has a website, I don't have it handy, but I think if you go there, they will tell you where the classes are in your area..... WELCOME TO CC !!

Where from in P? I'm in Pittsburgh, we have wilton classes at Michael's and Joann's. I'm self taught haven't done the Wilton courses, but I know a lot of people do. Welcome to CC I think this site is probably the best place to learn about cake decorating. The people are amazing, not only very talented but also very willing to help with any questions you might have.

Sadly, this isn't always so. I used the Wilton site to look for classes near me (still haven't taken one), and they said for me to go to the Hobby Lobby near me.

Well, I went there.. Nothing listed anywhere on the table where they have classes for you to sign up. So, I asked the lady at the service desk. She said, Oh honey.. We haven't had those classes here in a very long time. We can't find an instructor.

So, while the Wilton site may be right for some places, I don't think they keep it completely up to date. Hopefully, that isn't so for your area.

The best thing would be to call the craft store near you, or visit, and ask them personally. Then ask for a schedule.

Hope this helps,

Holly
