Hi everyone -
I was just in AC Moore and saw these tiny little glass bottles with Anise and Orange Oil - does anyone know how these are used for flavoring cake/icing/filling? icon_confused.gif

Any insight would be welcome! To all you CC addicts out there, I can't tell you how much I enjoy all the Forum posts, pics, tips and sharing!

Those oils are very concentrated - I use 1/8th of a tsp of one of them in place of 1tsp of vanilla.

These oils can be used in cakes, frostings, candy. But use only one or two drops at a time. They are very potent. Not like extracts which have been watered down for volume. I use them in my icings mostly. Used to in my candy when I did a lot. Not so much now. Boys grown up and out. icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the tips! icon_lol.gif

Looks like I might need to buy an eye-dropper. My Wilton II instructor mentioned that one might come in handy...

Have a great weekend!
