How many tiers do you want to do?
You could do 4 tiers representing freshman through senior years.
You could represent some of the different extracurricular activities on each tier.
Memorable teachers?
The school building?
The sports field?
Not sure if that helps.

Maybe you could mold some things that involve the trends and music of 1997. Popular songs come to life? ... clothing of the time?
