High Ratio Shortening Vs Crisco

I just bought some high ratio shortening CK brand I have a recipe that calls for 1 cup shortening. I have been using crisco shortening.My question is do I use the same amount or do I use less. Please advise.

I am very interested in this subject too. Where does one purchase"hi ratio"....I have always used shortening from the store....sometimes Crisco sometimes sale brand.
Please advise!

I found that replacing Crisco with hi-ratio on a 1:1 basis made the frosting too rich.

It was like trying to eat heavy cream, instead of whole milk...

CakemanOh recommends 2/3 cup hi-ratio to 1 cup Crisco or 1 cup hi-ratio per 7 cups powdered sugar.
