I just noticed that if you scroll all the way down on the forum index you can see who and how may people are online.....yes I know...Im a dork..just now noticing this....
but my question is it says there are 55,352 total registered members!!! WOW 
thats a load!!!! but....the most ever logged on at one time was 267 ???
Is there a limit or something to how many can log on....and are there really that many members?? over 55 thousand...I am reading that right??

Hey, Twinsline7, as you and I well know, members come and go all the time, and even when they go they stay on the membership list. I'm pretty sure that number is cumulative, so that is from the very beginning of CC. Janice

I don't know that for sure, but it seems not, otherwise I don't see any way there could be that many members on the list.
It almost looks as if the older posts don't delete either, considering how many of them there are.

Accounts do not delete over time, and neither do posts.
As for the MOST ON AT ONE TIME, that is only for the forum section, it does not include all the members reading article, browsing the gallery, etc.
to give you a better idea, we have about 10,000 unique IPs visit the site per day and get about 1.2 million hits per day. Thats a pretty huge amount of traffic. We are about to add our 4th server to support all those users on the website.

Well this is the exact reason we started the CC store. We needed a way to pay for this growing server bill without charging a membership fee.
so what it boils down to is that if everyone does their best to buy things they need from the CC store, when possilbe, we can keep the community free. And over time we will continue to add new products to the store to make it more and more useful for all the members..
I don't foresee a time where Cake Central will ever need to charge a membership, and it is our goal to make sure it stays that way
I'm sure we also have tons of people that just lurk or come here for ideas. I have refered a few people to this site and they are not as active as i am. shoot i'm here every day and sometimes night. I have two friends that come here for recipes and ideas. they have never posted even though they both do cakes.
I can't only imagine how it must be for you all Heath. It's crazy!!
Thank you all so much for this wonderful site and for it being free so far. I have been opposed to paying at other sites (not cake sites) but not to this one, this is one that's definately worth it.

I have a "day job" at a store that sells cake decorating/candy making supplies. I refer at least one person EVERY DAY to CC.. Gotta keep this awesome site going and going and going...

What is the shipping time? I live in the middle of nowhere, and have to take half a day to drive to buy supplies once a month. This would be a much better option, especially since it will keep things FREE!!!
Well we get out orders within 48 hours, but shipping time depends on what shipping option you choose. we offer both USPS and UPS. when you go to thru the checkout process you can see all the shipping options, cost, and expected time frame for shipping.

That is HUGE! This gives a better appreciation (not that it wasn't there already 
), and it will also make me have more tolerance for the slow times--I won't start pounding on my keyboard or hitting the refresh button a hundred times. It just shows that this site is truly a wealth of information in so many ways--KUDOS!! But, man, you keep this up, you are going to go through servers like crazy!
Dang, I knew y'all were good, but not THAT good! I second everyone else's appreciation of this site; I could not be doing nearly so well today (not that I don't have a VERY long way to go to be half as good as so many of you !) as I am without all of you - your pictures, posts, friendly accurate advice, and the feeling of support I get whenever I'm here. This is truly an awesome group, a gold mine of information and good people. Thanks for keeping us up and running! PAT
