They'll have my house pictured in the Dec issue. And I got a cash prize--well, a check---I hope it's a really big check like in the food network challenge!!!!!
My kids are already splitting up the money and believe me, they put up with A LOT!!

That's amazing and beautiful!! You totally deserved to win the contest with that!!! It must have taken forever!!!

My mom started a tradition with me & my brothers when we were little...we made a gingerbread house every Christmas season. Mom and I have continued the tradition through the years, each year trying to come up with an even better design idea. And now we also include her great-nieces & nephews (4 small kids each making their own house...you can imagine the MESS ) - we'll start planning for our "Gingerbread House Party" very soon.

They are so much fun...I encourage everyone to make one! And, if you haven't started a holiday tradition with your own kids, this is an EXCELLENT and memorable project!!!
