Hi Everyone!

I'm in search of decorating ideas for engagement cakes. I can't seem to find much in way of pictures in the gallery. Anyone have anything different or unusual to share?

Are they getting married at the beach or somewhere "exotic" or different?
Do they have any unusual hobbies?
Maybe make a cake based on those ideas.

how big do you want it? If you do tiers you could do pesents or boxes and have the top one opened with a big fat ring in it. how unusual, i have lotts of unusual pictures.

Okay, so here's the deal... they aren't engaged,.... yet. I'm the only one that knows that there even is a ring ready and a question yet to be popped! I'm so excited!

m0use, love your suggestion too, but one tiny problem. Since I haven't been living near them in 5 years, I have no real idea of hobbies and such. I know what they enjoy (she's a pharmacist and loves cake decorating, he's a technician and in a band). Not much for commonality there, huh?!?

Can't wait... it's supposed to happen this week sometime!

I do not have that exact picture but here are some ideas.

My favorite place for ideas is a Google Images search. I put in whatever type I'm looking for, along with cakes, and get lots of great ideas. Janice

i was looking at photos of my mil engagement cake and they had 2 champagne glasses embedded in the cake with their names engraved on them. They used these glasses at their wedding. Looked effective.

And another bonus today... I was wondering what to do about the "diamond". Then, on my shopping adventure today, I found a set of 2 "diamond" shaped paper weights at Macy's! Needless to say, I'm so excited! It'll be perfect!
