Hey I've tried to add different candy or white/dark chocolate chips into cake batter, it always sinks to the bottom and burns. Am I supposed to add half way through baking or what? I am frustrated please help!!

Two things you can do: First, toss the candy with a little flour to coat before adding it to the batter. Second, use smaller pieces, especially if your batter is on the thinner side. Don't try to add stuff halfway through the baking or you'll disturb the leavening process.
