Can you help? I am making a 'smash cake' with a difference. Essentially it is a dome of chocolate filled with sweets, chocolates, marshmallows etc inside. The birthday child then 'smashes' the chocolate dome open to find the assortment of goodies.

The help/advice I need is this - do you have a recommendation for making the dome? I am going to use a mixing bowl as a mould but I am so worried that the chocolate will break when I try to take it out. Do I use the outside or the inside of the bowl? Do I coat it with anything? Do I use foil/cling wrap underneath. I am very nervous about this one and would appreciate any help I can get!

if you want a smooth finish i wouldn't use anything, as for when i mold chcoclate make sure the shell is think enough, don't leave it to long in the frezzer or refigerator because it will crack, all i can say is that when i do it its a lot of trial and error i can make five and only get 3, good luck
