A friend was telling me about a cake contest where you submit online so I did a search because she couldn't remember the name and I found several contest That I would like to share with the cake central community
The first on is from Woman's Day The contest ends August 10th so hurry and get your pic in

Then I found several more that are online submisions but I have never heard of these so I don't know much about them. But you could win from $50 to $150 depending on the contest.

I entered the Womans day silly cake contest and Im a bit miffed. I was looking at some cakes and they had 5-10 votes , then all of a sudden they had 500,700,........... whats going on???? Is that possible within a few hours to get that many votes???
I hope it is not some one trying to cheating to win
Hello, everyone. I am sort of a newbe here. I've been lurking and just recenty began to be a participant. I would love to enter more contests. However, it is a little intimidating to go up against the pros. I entered the Wilton Decorate to Celebrate with a couple of my best cakes. And I was blown out of the water... Maybe someone will have a contest with 2 catagories: Pros and hobbyists. Just a thought.

I just checked out some of the entries and though that the entries need to be "silly". Most of the cakes are decorated nicely but I did not see the "silly" theme carried through. Just curious if anyone else noticed that and if you do plan on submitting what is considered silly?
