Is there any info on the bag about how many cupcakes the whole bag would make?

Duncan Hines mix is about 2 pounds and makes 24 cups. It is probably close to this.

Why dont you just divide the mix into thirds and then use a third of the water called for. That would give you 24 cupcakes.

Well, you could just divide it in half and that would give you 36 cupcakes. So, you would have 12 extras.... Would that be too many?
