Any ideas for a pecan filling for a carrot cake? I am making one for friday and I have pecans in the house that I want to get rid of because my son has a nut allergy. So, I thought I could do something nutty in this cake. I am also putting walnuts right in the cake. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I posted a recipe for butter pecan mousse in the recipes section and it is very good and light. I think it would be good in the middle of your cake and it is not that hard to make.
