I have a 50th anniv cake to do by Sat and i am thinking about putting gold ribbon around the bottom, how do i put the ribbon on without having the grease from the bc bleed thru? Thanks in advance for any help.

You can just plan to let the grease soak through and just barely darken the color of the ribbon. There are lots of methods out there, but in the end, I find that just allowing the grease to slightly (and evenly, which it eventually will) soak through and darken the ribbon is the easiest and most fool-proof for me. thumbs_up.gif
