I WAS LOOKING AT THE PICTURES OF GOLF BALLS IN THE GALLERY AND I WANT TO MAKE ONE FOR MY HUSBANDS BDAY, HOW THE HECK DO YOU GET THE DIVETS/INDENTS ON THE BALL ? Do you use fondant and then smooth around them ?

I believe they are done after... say you usebuttercream.. after you smooth it out.. you make the indents...if you are using fondant, it would be the same.. you should pm some of the artist who have done them to get more insight..

If you look in my gallery, you will see two golf cakes. One is done with buttercream and the other in fondant. I used the end of a florist pin to make the indentions in both.

I have one in my gallery as well-covered with buttercream, then I used a dowel rod to just poke divets in. Very simple. thumbs_up.gif
