Okay, maybe I am a whimp, but straight lines are NOT my favorite.
I need some ideas for making a pinstriped, fondant covered cake... for Sat. (needs to look like a Cubs jersey)
I was thinking about making indentations with my fondnat cutter, and filling in with royal icing??? Seems easier than trying to cut paper thin fondant stripes and putting them on the sides.
Any input would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks

I have used the edge of a metal ruler painted with gel colour quite successfully for long thin stripes.

You can use purple painters tape(the lowest tack) Then you could brush, air brush or use can spray color to paint the pin stripes. I think you could even use the blue tape as long as you lightly apply it. I've done this before, and I know I've seen Duff do this on his show, and cake challenges. Good luck!

I was just about to post this same question!!

I like your idea about the fondant cutter! that may work! I think a ruler would work too, i'll have to go buy one!
