I need some creative ideas for a cup cake stand. I don't want to use the wire ones from Wilton, I want something homemade. The wedding will take place in the fall. Colors: read, orange, brown Bride doesn't want it to look like Halloween, but elegant fall. She said something about a candle votive idea with pumpkins. Anybody got any ideas?

I don't have any ideas myself, but how about browsing Michaels and the places like Garden Ridge? Something there might pop out at you. I saw a picture on the galleries here where someone turned a bicycle (I think it was anyway....)decoration into a cake stand. It was cool.

First thing I thought of is the Garden Totems that many 'garden junk' folks make these days! I've seen cake-stands incorporated into these totems... so why not a cake-stand totem?? LOL
