I am looking for a good chocolate cake recipe for a child's birthday.

I have lots of cake recipes for almost none for chocolate cake since my family is not a big fan of chocolate cake. Strange, I know. The few recipes I do have are more for the adult palate.

Thanks!

Here is one that I always use. Moist, chocolatey
2c sugar
1 3/4 c all purp flour
3/4 c cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1 c whole milk
3/4 c butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
after that is all mixed together, stir in 1 c boiling water

If you like to dr cakemixes, I also use Betty Crocker triple chocolate chunk cake mix and use whole milk and butter instead of water and oil and that makes a great kids cake too. I use that when I am using a molded pan as its a bit denser and comes out of mold better.
Hope this helps!
