I think any fruit flavor would be good - blackberry, blueberry, etc. Also, I like dark chocolate with white chocolate. Lemon would be good as well.

Anything goes with white chocolate buttercream.  I have found that people love this icing but they don't know what they are eating.  They just say how yummy it is.  I make IMBC and mix in white chocolate ganache.  So so good!

Cori, what is IMBC? I just cannot think for the life of me right now. I am currently looking for a really good crusting buttercream. I have an awesome swiss meringue buttercream icing however, it does not crust well, but very tasty. I am have tried several others ]. Either it is way too sweet, too greasy, or too gritty no matter how much you mix it. I would love love love one that is spot on perfect if anyone has one. Thank you in advance

Yes.  Italian meringue buttercream.  Easy to make and tastes good.  Never a complaint. But it's not a crusting buttercream.

For the white chocolate, citrus would be good too. Lemon, lime, orange, anything on the tart side. That's why raspberry is good with it.

Can someone point me toward an excellent crusting buttercream icing that is not gritty, too sweet, or too greasy.

Thank you

Melissa
