I'm still a beginner but I would have to say Joann's because I can order online if needed. I live about 1 hr away from one so I can't go there whenever. Michaels doesn't allow you to order online which is a disadvantage for me.
I know what you mean! I have a Joanns here in town but its small and they don't carry any baking/decorating products. I just went and stocked up at Williams Sonoma at the Twelve Oaks Mall yesterday. I would love to have a nice supply store in town!
I shop at Joann's and Michael's. I try to buy my supplies from Joann's whenever possible vs. Michael's only because Joann's sends out the 40% off coupons on a regular basis; usually every week. Yes, I know that each store takes the others coupon, but I figure that since Joann's gives me the coupon that it's only fair that I buy it from them if they have what I want. I just got a 50% of coupon from Michael's the other day, but they are few and far between with their coupons.
