Well, I'm partial to mine and I've never gotten a complaint from anyone! Here it is:

1 8 oz. brick cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cup hi -ratio shortening (not sure if the new crisco will work)
1 TBS. flavoring (I use Magic Line's Butter vanilla)
2 1/2 pounds powdered sugar
1 tsp. popcorn salt
4-6 TBS. Liquid of your choice ( I use half/half)

Beat cream cheese and shortening until light and fluffy. Add flavoring, beat some more. Add the salt to the powdered sugar and add to shortening mixture alternating with the milk until it's the way you want it. I then beat mine at med. speed for about 5 minutes. It will get whiter and fluffier! We love it!!

Here's a recipe for cream cheese frosting that doesn't require refrigeration:

I just add cream cheese to my regular 50/50 butter/crisco buttercream recipe! It's very good!

JanH-

Apparently you have to be a premium member to access recipes now. I don't suppose you have that recipe handy that you'd be willing to share?

If I join another forum my DH is going to kill me.
