Imartsy, you suggested using the fanci-foil boards that are already covered......where do you find these?

Thanks again to everyone for your replies!

yeah - Wilton makes some - countrykitchen.com sells some - they are called "cake drums"..... I just used one for my last cake and I loved that it was already put together and the fanci-foil was actually quite fancy icon_smile.gif and pretty - it was silver but it had a little pattern throughout it that was really nice.

For whoever was asking about contact paper, you can find it at Wal Mart. I can't remember which aisle it was in....but it was near the brooms and cleaning supplies.

I've used fabric squares from JoAnn Fabrics ($1.50) covered with contact paper. I buy a bunch when they are on sale and sometimes they are the basis for the cake design.
