Very Basic, Sticking Fondant On?

ok, I have a fondant covered cake and fondant designs, how do I stick them on, is there a glue, do I use water? thanks.

I use water to stick flat on, and royal icing to make 3D shapes to glue together.

I use CLEAR vanilla and use a small paint brush and just lightly brush it on the piece and a little on the cake. It has always worked for me.

A little water brushed on works. If you want something that bonds more like glue, use edible glue or make your own with powdered sugar or a little fondant dissolved in water.
