When I was in Nashville in April I purchased my KA Prof 600 mixer. It finally arrived last night (A friend was brining it back for me because William-Sonoma doesn't ship to Canada).

Tosay that I am excited is a complete understatement! We just moved into our first house and as soon as the kitchen is painted and unpacked I can't wait to put it use!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Yay for you!!!! icon_biggrin.gif I remember when my KA arrived, I felt like turning back handsprings! My hubby just looked at me like I had lost it. It was a birthday present a few years ago, now I'm ready to add accessories to it. Hhmmm, maybe flames! thumbs_up.gif

I just got my first KA last week! I have been wanting one forever and of course, 36 hours before I had to have a wedding cake done my cheapo mixer blew up! I was prepared to buy another cheap one when my DH told me I had to buy the KA - this was my chance and take it! So the next morning I went shopping!icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

The running joke is that the KA ended up costing a lot more because we had to buy a kitchen to put it in! lol!

I can't wait to start playing with it! Hoover- I saw flame decals a Wal-Mart that you can probably use to jazz your KA up. I am painting my kitchen white and blue-grey and I am using red for the accent colour and I am seriously considering "pimping" the KA with the flames....should be fun!

I know how you feel. I purchased the Agbay slicer. I was so happy, I left it on my kitchen counter for 3 days just looking at it. Also when I did a wedding cake, I sliced the top 8 inch layer into 4, just because I could. Ah! The simple pleasures that only CCers can appreciate.

Oh how exciting!!! I love new kitchen toys! I felt the same way when my DH brought home an Ateco professional turntable. He had taken back the plastic one we bought because it wasn't level and really bugged me. I figured I'd just have to deal with the little cheapie plastic Wilton thingy I'd been using but he brought that bad boy home! I baked a cake just so I could use it! icon_lol.gif

You're going to love your new KA!! thumbs_up.gif

How exciting! New appliances really excite me - they are so pretty, and you think about everything you want to use them for. LOL I already had a KA when I started doing cakes, so it's just been that much easier for me. My DH and I have been talking about upgrading to the Professional one though, since my little one gets a bit bogged down with a double icing recipe. We'll see.

If you "pimp" it out - be sure to post pictures so we can see your new baby! icon_cool.gif
