Hi, I am new this site and was hoping someone could help me out. What tip do you use to make the swirled icing on the top of the cupcakes? Also does the tip do all the work or do you have to move it to make it more swirled? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I am not sure if I did what you are trying to do, but I used tip 1M on my santa cupcakes .. you can see that picture in my photos...

Not quite sure exactly what you're referring to by swirled, but if it's what I think you're talking about, I usually use tip 21 or a similar tip. I start on the outside edge outlining it and just move it in a circular motion around it moving to the inside of the previous icing like a spiral. Hope that helps.

1M is a cool tip. Makes large swirls for your cupcakes. Wouldn't be without one. Vicki0052.

I'm pretty new here too and I know I do not use the tips for their "intended use" I just pick and try! I used a 2C to fill up the cones on the top of my carousel cake and just swirled the bag just like I was filling a soft serve icecream cone. I was pleased with how it looked. Good luck to you!
