icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I need a really good recipe for fudge icing to put on a groom's cake. I made a practice run today and tried 1 recipe I found and it really flopped. It was way too runny. I kept adding powdered sugar until it looked right but---it still ran off the sides of the cake when I put the border. No--the cake was not still hot, it was very cool.
I am new to cake decorating but usually do much better than what happened today. Please help!!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I haven't tried it yet--but I've heard of using 1/2 Dawn's bc and 1/2 ganache mixed together.

I've been meaning to try this but haven't had the opportunity to need a nice fudgy icing.

Hope this helps.
