Do you use the standard cupcake cup for your cakes or the extra large ones? The ones have look so small. Just got them at the grocery store. The ones I saw at my cake supply store looked considerably larger.

I am making my very first one right now with the plain wilton white liners. they look about the same size as the grocery store ones.

I just used the regular ones for mine. It's kind of good to have the cupcakes a little smaller so you can arrange them easier. No trimming!

I used the regular sized cup cake liners too. I've only done one so far, but it turned out pretty good IMO.

I worked at a bakery for a while and we had our cupcakes shipped in frozen from Dawn Foods Company. There cupcakes are not the standard size that you make at home. They are actually only about 2/3 of the normal size. I think it's their way of cost cutting by cutting down on the size. Most people don't compare the cupcakes, so they don't know that they are not full cupcake size.
