MIL, what did she buy me...candles one year, a butt ugly skirt with tiki men on it in pink, orange, teal, black, and yellow with sequins randomly all over it and on the fringe and around the tiki men, a short jean jacket that was too small for me, kitchen towels (peachy with sea shells)...
Things I was okay with -- scrapbooking supplies with the demand for a scrapbook of Kairi by Christmas
Things I like --my leopard PJ's with matching slippers with glow in the dark hearts in some of the spots.

I meant tacky in a good way... My whole life my mom and sis said I was tacky because I had my own sense of style. I wear it as a badge of honor because they are so conservative in their taste.

Now when they need fashion or home decorating advise who do you think they call?? Me!

Oh and here is my bitchy sister story for the week.
Ill keep it brief.

We went to visit my parents and SIS TO TELL THEM ALL GOODBYE BEFORE WE LEAVE. We did this yesterday afternoon. Mostly to tell DN2 goodbye. So D niece is having a bit of a tantrum when we arrive sis will not let us go in to speak to her or tell her goodbye. Then sis goes in to Graces (my niece) room shuts the door and emerges 10 minutes later and announces that she was able to get her to go to sleep. I dont have kids so maybe I am missing something here, but what would have been the harm in allowing us to pop in say good-bye to Gracie and then get her to sleep? Shes only 5 and will not understand why we did not tell her good bye HELLO.Im getting on an airplane tomorrow!!!!

Oh, the presents she gives both Xaq and I...fabulous!! And the ones she gives Kairi?! OMG! I think a lot of it is she doesn't know me well. She mostly sees me in jeans and t-shirts, no make up, no nothing cause 1. thats what I wear most time and 2. I'm usually dropping off DD on the way to get ready to wherever nice we're going.

She pays our AAA membership each year, she gave us 1K for our wedding and a toaster oven for the wedding gift. She gave us a dinner (and babysitting) for Cohn's restaurants (big chain of big mid-range restaurants). We chose the Gaslamp Strip Club. Strip, as in steak. You go and pick your steak cut and sides. They bring out a big so YUMMY salad and your steaks. You go grill them yourself on their big BBQ's (or send DH to do it if you prefer--I am not) and then they bring your sides. We got Garlic Mac and Cheese and yummy mashed potatoes....and you share those. They have drawings of Pin-ups from a famous artists...its really cool.

Awww see she's thoughtful too. That probably is it she'd rather get you cash than waste money on something that will just wind up at a yard sale. LOL

I just got a message from Wendy she should be here soon. I hope.
