Hi Guys,
I finally did my first carved cake. I wanted to go with 3d cake, but had some technical problems, cake ended up as 2d and I was pretty proud of it. Everybody seemed to like a lot and I got very nice complements on this one.

hahaha, I am so glad that you like it! I made it as well as a boy cake... since it was the grill party of the friend of ours and only 3 girls were invited and 15 guys...
no it's not airbrushed. It's MMF stamped with coffee and brushed with icing sugar, than stamped again and brushed once more with sugar. It gave a lovely effect, coz MMF absorbed coffee taste.

I would have never thought of doing it that way! Great job!

That cake is horrifying and fantastic all at the same time! And it looks delicious...I like the idea of the coffee/icing sugar. Great work

jen1977, it's all beacuse here you can hardly get ingredients... so one has to experiment it's very simple method, but damn messy... afterwards I had icing sugar all around my kitchen...
