Can anyone tell me... What will happen if I put dried fondant and gum paste in the fridge overnight? I have made flowers and bows out of fondant and gumpaste and I need to put the wedding cake they are to go on in a walk in cooler overnight. Does anyone know if they will be OK? I'm afraid that they will soak up humidity and flop. Any suggestions? I wanted to protect the finished cake from little hands and little teeth. Thanks!

Fondant sweats once it comes out of a cooler or fridge so its not normally wise to put fondant in the fridge you could lose any surface mounted decorating from dampness, you could put it in a cool dry room and have a fan blow on the cake. icon_smile.gif

You would be better off putting them in a container in the top of your closet. That's what I do.
