Hi all,

Over the long weekend, I made a wedding cake for my cousin. It was square stacked 6, 8, 10, 12" that were 4" high each. They were all covered in MMF. The 1st and 3rd tiers just had a green ribbon around the bottom. The 2nd and 4th had cornelli lace and a green ribbon. How much do you think that I could have charged for it if I did charge? Or if any of you made a similar cake, how much did you charge? I was just curious!! icon_smile.gif

People can chime in with a price, but it all depends on where you live. If you live in a small town you are not going to be able to ask as much as someone that lives in New York.

The best thing to do to figure a price is to start with how much you spent making the cake. You have to figure out how much your ingerdients cost you, how much the boards and boxes cost you and so on. When you have that figure typically you mutiple it by 3. If that seems a little high for your area you can do it by 2.5 but never never do it less than times 2.
