Anyone know how to make an ice cream cake like a Carvel Cake?

We don't have a carvels where i live....but i have made ice cream cakes before......i use a springform pan and bake whatever kind of cake you want in it......then i soften up ice cream and put a layer of that on top of the cake.....put it back in the freezer....then you can either soften up more ice cream...or cover it with caramel, choc, nuts...etc....keep in the freezer...... when you are ready to serve it take it out of the springform pan and let it sit for about 10-15 mins. and cut.....you can also decorate it with whipped cream and sprinkles at this point.....hope this helps... usaribbon.gif

I wish you had Carvel near you. Their cakes are sooooo yummy!!!! They have these chocolate crunchie things in the middle.
