I used a sugar glue and it worked well. The one I used was a Debbie Brown recipe but I can't lay my hands on it any more. Anyone?

you can just use some vanilla extract or lemon extract or one I like to use is a little meringue powder and water mixed together......holds stuff really well......you might even be able to just use water?

This is debbie browns sugar glue recipe, it's just 1 tsp gum arabic with a few drops of water to make a thick paste. I use sugar glue from my local cake decorating shop.

I use royal icing. I might have to try these other ideas though!

I use royal icing for attaching dry gumpaste items.

We made a glue with 1/8 tsp. gumpast and 1tbsp. of water mixed together, in our gumpaste and fondant class it works very well .

I use RI too. Seems I always have a little in the fridge and it works well too hold gumpaste or fondant on a cake covered in fondant.
