So, Im going to try playing w/fondant again now that I've found out a new type of fondant MMF vs. the wilton stuff *NO one i know liked it, not even my totally unpicky boyfriend who would eat just about ANYTHING i made/offered*
So now Im curious how do you guys achieve the flesh color? I'm looking for a light/pale color. Is there just one color that is used or a combo? Any tips would be muchly appreciated!
Thanx Guys!
btw. all the cakes i've seen ...absolutly beautiful!

If I'm making a white skin tone I use a colour called parika/flesh. If you can't get hold of a flesh colour then use the tiniest dab of red/pink and a bigger dab of egg yellow or orange. The key to getting it looking realistic is not using very much red/pink at all and keeping it pale. For darker skins I add a bit of brown.

Hello
If you can not find the flesh tone colors, try Ivory with just a touch of copper. For small pieces, I find that ivory works well alone, especially if it next to white. it makes a nice contrast.
ciao

Ok Im making a batch tomorrow for taste testing and whatnot since im still a lil cautious bout using fondant because of the taste of wiltons. But i'll try some of the color schemes you guys suggested.

This cake is gonna be fun to make! icon_biggrin.gif

I make my people using fondant and I used Ivory. The Copper is much too orange. The ivory is the perfect flesh colour.

I agree, I use copper - just a "dap" is needed.

MMF is so much better than the wilton stuff - it just takes a little time to master making it to the right consistency. Good luck!
