I am making a golf cake in the guitar pan this weekend. I plan on using a box mix. Does anyone know if I will need two boxes? It actually looks smaller then I thought it was (the pan) Is it possible it does not even take one full box mix?

Thanks!

I don't have this pan anymore......sold it on ebay. But, it should only take the one box.

HTH!

Wilton Character or shaped pans usually take one box mix. Now if you want to make it a little bit thicker you could add in more, but I don't think it is big enough for two cakes mixes.

Another question about the guitar pan. Any idea what temp and time frame it needs to stay in the oven?
Thanks!

I just made the spongebob cake over the weekend and kept it in the oven for about 40 to 50 minutes depending on your oven. The two pans are about the same size.
