the theme is animal print, the customer wants these things..
1. 3 tired floating cake (like a wedding cake)
2. the solid colors are creme, gold, and browns
3. they do not like basket weave

I've already suggested using the solid colors to decorate the cake and place animal print under the cake, fluffed under the cake stand, above the table cloth.

I've got a few ideas but none that excite me. Can someone else lend ideas?

Thank you
Monette

This isn't much but these are the only two ideas I came up with.

Would she like the different tiers with maybe a zebra (using fondand), leopard, and tiger print??

Or... what about cream cakes with ribbon (using animal printed ribbon) around the bottom.

What about each layer in the cream, then make a pattern on each tier, but not on the WHOLE tier, just on about half of it. You could alternate which side the pattern is on, and make the cut off line wavy instead of sharp - does this make sense?

Or, if they don't want regular ribbon, you could make fondant ribbon and paint the design on each ribbon.

I know there are tons of great ideas out there - I'm sure you'll get lots of great advice!

Is this what you have in mind? I have saved this photo for years because I have always loved it. I am sorry I don't recall who the original designer was so I could give credit.

Or, scroll down towards the bottom left for this one by Fancy Cakes By Leslie.

I can only add a picture of a cake made by my best cakefriend icon_wink.gif, so it´s not from me but from Wendy's Taarten, it´s a childrens cake as you can see, made out of fondant with a fondant figure on top.

Good luck with the ideas and your cake!!

I did mine in all buttercream since it was for a 6yo. in my photos. You could do the prints and then put on each layer 2 figures of that animal Mamma and baby.
