I said cake slut, impling just for the thrill!

Cake whore would imply you're getting paid for the services! HA!HA!

I guess it depends on where you live! lol

I'm so glad no one here really knows me!

As for JoAnn, I wonder, if you are upset that the assistant made any sort of comment? Or are you offended at the comment because she used the word fat!

My mother, who happens to be overweight, hates to hear any fat joke or fat comment. She always takes it personally.

Friends usually feel comfortable saying things that would otherwise never be repeated or heard by others. That's the joy of friendship!

On the other hand, words are powerful and can never be taken back.
The tongue can be very dangerous!

On a lighter note, If you could really laugh you butt off, I'd be so skinny right now!!

You guys are all proving him right! All a bunch of cake porn, whore, slut, baking perverts! icon_surprised.gif

If you really want to throw the guy for a loop, bake him a hershey cake vagina right outta the naughty galleries and give that to him as a sample... here's your cake! (Ah, if only we could get away with it in the real world...) icon_twisted.gif

I stumbled on this! You guys are all just too too funny! I'm cracking up at some guy who wants to eat cake --- I think his fiance has him on a DIET and he can only get away with eating the sweets from his future wedding! icon_redface.gif Pitty the poor girl!! She's going to be outdone on her wedding night--oops, I mean DAY -- from her cake-drooling new hubby!

At least his tendancies to stray will be towards his chocolate! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

If your asking if I'm offended at the word fat then no. I don't think that anyone should be "attacked" without being able to defend themselves and I find it very unprofessional to refer to a customer in a degragory way.
Also if this decorator felt she was underpaid it is no ones fault except her own for quoting the price she did. And I did ignore this thread until now.

Attacked? lol......(shrug)..Not gonna go there. However...I feel that people who know NOTHING of a situation shouldnt stick their nose in things. Also I asked for comments on how many tastings were enough..not your judgement (attack) on my business ethics. So it boils down to you stepping into a post topic to bash someone who you happen to not like something they said....hmmmmm....how is that better than what was said about the customer?I know my level of professionalism.Underpaid? didn't say that, but just that he was getting a great deal...not like i was making a killing off of the poor man and verbally abusing him... As far as a problem customer, we all have them. I am asking that this thread be locked because there is no more fun or cameraderie left in it when someone has to step in and judge people that they don't know and then point fingers. Sad actually... as I said...I am DONE WITH IT.

Well then, if you're the "whiny whore/wife" (can't even call you a "cake mistress!" icon_surprised.gificon_lol.gif, then I wanna be the "cake pervert"!! And no chocolate handcuffs for you!! You wouldn't be able to "appreciate" them!!! icon_razz.gif

By the way....how did the fat a$$ like the crispier cookies? When is the wedding? Maybe he'll break down and buy a WHOLE cake from you before then!! JUST MAKE SURE TO CHARGE HIM!! icon_wink.gif

Hehe.....the wedding is July 30th. He loved the cookies (big shock since he scarfed ALL of the ones he thought were a bit too cakey...lol) and his fiance was glancing over at him during the tasting and saying "the first cookies were fine by me." She looked kinda exasperated...she would cut a glance at me and kinda roll her eyes....dunno if she is tired of his way of pushing people into giving him free food or just how nit picky he is being

Ha! This was probably the ONLY thing he got involved with in the wedding!! She might be seeing him in a whole new (and not very flattering) light!! Uh, oh.........after seeing his "dark (chocolate cake) side", I hope she still plans on marrying him or you'd be out of all that cake for nothing (unless you have a deposit you can keep?)!! Oh, please say you have a deposit, you evil, twisted, ruthless woman! icon_lol.gificon_twisted.gif

Yes, after saying they were going to go ahead and pay the full amount on the day of last tasting..(which I usually only require half but I think he was trying to make me feel secure so I would load him down with samples).. he DID pay 1/2 of the total instead. I shoulda then reached over and took the sample cookie that she didnt want...that he was clutching to him as he was leaving...MUAHAHAHA....hubby now calls me the cake nazi....geeze now I am gonna offend some nazi....hehe

My thought is - wonder what the fiance would think if she read this??
Talk about runaway bride... she imagines what her future life will be like and forsees all the cakes, cookies and everything else to feed his sweet tooth...and does she bake? If not, there goes the kid's college fund!! Sure hope she gets a good pair of Nike's as a wedding gift....

Boy, icon_eek.gif I've been away for a couple of days, and couldn't log onto the forums. I'm sorry I opened THAT can of worms. I thought this was a place where we could share our feelings openly and not be judged. I have certainly said some things that I would not go around using is my every day conversations with people I do not know. I have really enjoyed reading this post! I have laughed so hard, I wet myself. (In my defense, I am pregnant)

JoAnn, I don't think anyone wants to be mean to you. The problem is that your post came across in a very judgemental way. On top of that most of us probaly didn't really mean what we said about that man. I was certainly joking when I called KayDay a cake slut! I don't even know her, but it was so funny!! icon_lol.gif

Having said that, if I have offended anyone, I am so sorry. Let's all kiss and make up now. icon_wink.gif

KayDay, please don't check my spelling ok? lol

I think even if the wedding WERE canceled, the guy would probably just change his order to a regular cake! The "cake nazi" has him hook, line and sinker!

No need to apologize, most people already realize this is a place for friends who sometimes need to vent (oh, and get called names like cake slut, cake nazi, etc... I always save the BEST names for my friends!) and in truth I usually enjoy JoAnn's comments, possibly she was just having a bad day.

Ohhh, how pregnant are you?! Is it your first baby? KayDay, you can't check a pregnant womans spelling! That would just be wrong! Everyone knows being "in that condition" leaves the brain a little mushy sometimes. And that's BEFORE the baby gets here....just WAIT til after!!! icon_lol.gificon_twisted.gif
