I am new to CC and fairly new to cake decorating. I have been asked to do a 3 layer stacked wedding cake with scroll work all over. How do I go about pricing a cake like this? Do I charge per person? This cake is very detailed and will feed app. 125 people. I would appreciate any help you CCer's can give me.

3 layer stacked?

you mean a 3 tiered wedding cake right?

there is a link that has a "cake matrix".. its on excel and breaks down almost everything you need to price a cake.. i tweaked it to fit my style and prices.. do a search in the forum

I do buttercream for $2 a serving and fondant for $2.50. Hope that helps.
