We are throwing my husband and his 3 other cousins that are all turing 30 this year a party in Aug. The theme of the party is "The 80's" and the invitations are like a concert ticket. My sister-in-law had mentioned cup cakes but I think that is harder and more time consuming. If anyone has any thought or web links I would certainly appreciate the suggestions.

a cupcake cake is very easy. tutorial here >> http://community.webshots.com/photo/105830324/1192813746051689275ZzeIFp

can put most any image on top and shape into all kinds of things

since it's for four guys...maybe 4 different cakes which could represent what each was "in" to in the 80's

Seeing that the invitations are a ticket, why not the cake too? A 9 x 13 sheet and decorate or even shape it like the invite. you can make the ticket be for a movie that they all saw together or that they liked. You can have the date be that of the year they were born. Or the "movie" vcan be somethin gthat would reflect them, ie; fishing, golfing sports. and the actors couldbe there names.

Hope that was an idea.
