Cc Is Back!!....another Ellyrae Epic

Two Days Without CakeCentral... 
Up in the morning, and as I always do,
Logged on to CakeCentral, to see what was new. 
Had my coffee in hand, and a danish to my side,
Still half asleep, and a bit glassy-eyed. 
Taking a sip of my coffee, then a bite of my roll,
I waited for CakeCentral to open, for today-'twas my only goal. 
All of the sudden, NO page to display? 
I discovered CakeCentral gone, to my dismay! 
"Oh, maybe it's my server?" " Or, perhaps my PC?"
I tried it again, and started feeling queasy. 
"What is going on?" The same results happened again.
"Maybe I should try, the computer in the Den!"
I threw down my roll, and spilled my coffee along the way,
"This is NOT how I planned, to begin my day!" 
Into the Den I rushed, to the PC in there,
When my hopeful eyes, turned into a blank stare.
There I saw it, the big, white screen.
"CakeCentral is down for maintenance", all I could do was scream!
"Ok, Ok, I need to calm myself down."
"CC should be back on, when I return from down town." 
I rushed through my errands, with CakeCentral on my
mind. 
The Dry Cleaners were so busy, I just left my clothes behind.
I had to get back, as quickly as I could,
To check on CakeCentral, where that white screen still stood.
The hours that day, went by so slow,
Till finally the sun, took on it's dusky glow.
All day without CakeCentral, I had just been.
I was starting to panic, and the shakes had set in. 
I tried hard to go to sleep, for tomorrow was another day,
and surely by then, CakeCentral would be ok!
I managed to get some rest, but I was up before dawn,
Logging on to CakeCentral again, as I gave out a big yawn.
"Oh NO!" "Not again!" "Can this be a nightmare?"
There I sat, with another blank stare.
"I can't go through, another long day!"
"Without my CakeCentral, they'll have to put me away!"
My nails are gone, my hair's on the floor!
Oh this is causing, a major uproar!
This day seemed longer, than the day just before.
My head and my hands, just can't take anymore!! 
"CakeCentral where are you?" "Where did you go??"
"I swear on my life, I'm going to blow!" 
I tried other cake sites, but nothing was helping,
And I began to feel, my bloodpressure dropping. 
It was well past midnight, when I finally gave in,
And it didn't even phase me, when on a sharp corner,
scraped my shin. 
After another long night, of tossing and turning,
I got up out of bed, my stomach still churning.
"Here I go again, after two days of withdrawls."
"CakeCentral has got to be here, so I can stop climbing the walls!"
I turned on my PC, coffee in hand,
Shaking all over, I couldn't even stand.
I took a deep breath, and clicked on the site,
But the white screen was GONE, to my delight! 
"Oh what is this?" A familiar sight!
This day is beginning, with a brand new light!
"My CakeCentral is back!" "Oh, what a joy!!" 
"My all time, most favorite, cake decorator toy!!!" 
I hugged my PC, spilled my coffee again,
But my sorrowful frown, turned into a grin.
My body let out, a big sigh of relief,
For someone had finally caught, that bad CC thief!
Now my bloodpressure's normal, my shakes are all gone,
As I sit here with coffee, and some lemon chiffon.
"I missed you CakeCentral, as thousands of us did,
And as for all our withdrawls, these, you did rid!"

your poems are so awesome!!!! I can actually start to feel my heart race as I'm reading it as though I can just sense your panick LOL Just awesome!!!! Then when you finally get CC to come back on and start to calm down.....wow.........that was an emotional roller coaster.....thanks ellyrae LOL

LOL, yes, I'm much better today thanks!! It's just SO hard to go without CC that it helps to get it out on paper!!!! Therapy!!!!!!!!LOL

Yes I too was freaking out, I had a customer who wanted to see some pictures and I couldn't send them to her..OHHHH it was AWFUL!!!! Luckily I remembered I had backups on DH's Mac!!

Great poem, i was also having cc withdrawal. I was so bored i didnt know what to do with myself. Others did chores, i couldnt even do that. LoL. I love your poem. You are so creative, in poetry & cakes!.

I am still having a littel problem with it but it still works. That's what counts.
I totally agree whit the whole poem. I wasn't even getting the white screen that said it was down. Just nothing! I panic'd and tole my DH he needed to stop downloading cra#@ from the internet if it was going to disturb the few things I did online. Had to apologize today!! But he just shook his head and gave me that "I told you so" look! Glad to be back!!

Yes, actually I'm still getting "page can not display" pages now and again and every time I do, I have flashbacks from the last two days!! I can't take that!!!
I'm STILL getting not displaying pages!! Every time I do, I just let out this awful gasp and shake all over!!! I'm thinking maybe it's being caused by the thousands of people who have just discovered that site's back up so they're all on at once making the lines totally FREAK OUT!!!! The site's server is really being put to the test today!!!!!

haha, that poem is so true! the site wasn't up before i went to work today and i was so sad. days without my 'cake porn' as my boyfriend calls it! i just read your poem and told him 'my site' was back and he just sighed and walked away. NO clue of the withdrawals i've been going through.
